Our Mission
The Jessie Bullens-Crewe Foundation was founded in 1996 to honor the incredible spirit of this girl who died too soon - she was only eleven years old. Jessie died of cancer and her parents, Cindy Bullens and Dan Crewe, started the foundation with the hope of fulfilling their daughter's deep desire to help people in need and to make the world a better place for everyone. Jessie was full of laughter and joy. She displayed boundless energy and an unfailing spirit.
The Jessie Bullens-Crewe Foundation benefits three areas.
- Pediatric cancer research, and support for programs that enhance the difficult lives of kids and their families coping with cancer.
- Environmental concerns, including education for children about preserving wildlife and land.
- Youth education in all areas, especially the arts and sciences.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Jessie Bullens-Crewe Foundation is to share with the world Jessie's unfailing spirit and passion for life by supporting environmental preservation, youth education and, in particular, the Maine Children's Cancer Program via the Jessie Bullens-Crewe Fund.
